At the 2019 Dakota Fairs and Celebrations Conventions, North Dakota and South Dakota associations voted to merge to become one.  The new association is Heartland Association for Fairs, Festivals and Events.  Please stay tuned for more information and a new website.

Who We Are

The South Dakota Association of Fairs & Celebrations became an organization in November 1969.

Members consist of fairs, celebrations, festivals, achievement days & farm shows plus associate members who are animal & rodeo people, carnivals, concessionaires, entertainment agencies, award & ribbon companies, sound & light companies, media, insurance agents plus other services & supplies.

PURPOSE OF ASSOCIATION:

Develop high standards in South Dakota fairs, celebrations, festivals, 4-H Achievement Days, and farm shows.

To exchange information for mutual benefit.

To work out dates and circuits for economy and quality of entertainment.

To act in unity with greater effect on those matters of common concern.

BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP:

Annual convention held jointly with North Dakota to share ideas to enhance your event or business.

Membership brochure and promotional brochures published annually to market your event or business.

Newsletters published four times a year to keep up to date on the happenings in the business.
